Rebuilding after the Kenow Fire

Camp Canyon sustained extensive damage during the Kenow Wildfire in Waterton Lakes National Park in 2017. Over 50% of the camp was destroyed. 

Both Camp Canyon and the forest that surrounds us are in the process of regeneration. We continue to pursue a positive partnership with Parks Canada and are actively rebuilding Camp Canyon. 

Fundraising is ongoing, and all donations are welcome!

We couldn't have made the return to camp without our generous donors and fundraising efforts.

We also need to acknowledge the work that was put into applying for grant funding and acknowledge that we recieved $700,000 from the Community Facility Enhancement Program offered by the Government of Alberta!  Without this grant, and other grants, as well as the support of all of our donors, we could not have offered camp opportunities for the 2026 season.
